Since 1999, Elizabeth Lewis' fiber and mixed-media art works have been exhibited locally throughout Wisconsin, as well as nationally in museums, galleries, juried shows and a variety of media outlets.
Often described as spiritual, Elizabeth's fiber and mixed-media works have a dimensional quality that defy easy classification. From afar her sometimes classic, sometimes primitive forms are though to be paint-on-canvas or stain glass constructs. Viewers have seen the Buddha in her nudes and Angels in her birds. Because Elizabeth approaches the artistic process as a way to directly connect with the Divine, she sees the thoughtful participation audiences bring to her work as a reflection of their own search for and/or relationship with the Divine.
Elizabeth does both public and private small and large-scale commissions. Her works on display here are for sale and can be privately viewed upon request. Note cards featuring Elizabeth's works A Woman's Glory, Still Life and Ocean Stars are also available.
