A wholistic definition of healing is the integration of body, mind and spirit. Implicit in this definition is the understanding that there can be cure without healing, and great healing without cure.

Everyone's life is a tapestry, canvas, quilt - a unique work of creation. All of our experiences add dimension and texture to who we are - what we become - as we progress through life.

Healing is a process - the transitioning from a state of hurt or incompleteness to a state of wholeness. During times of loss and stress, we sometimes fear our pain will last forever. We fear our place in the world has been lost and our sense of aloneness or disconnection will never go away.

Art and writing can act as a bridge from hurt to wholeness by providing us with a communication tool for expressing to ourselves what we truly think, feel and see. The self-communication accessed through art and writing can allow us to move forward, help us heal.

Artist, writer, motivational speaker and stress management consultant Elizabeth Lewis provides a wide variety of integrative healing programs, lectures and workshops focusing on the healing power of art, the healing power of writing and words and stress management and prevention. All programs, lectures and workshops are designed to meet the specific needs or interests of each individual audience. In addition to large and small group instruction, private one-on-one appointments are also available.

Art and writing programs focus on the intuitive process of artistic expression done purely for the person's sake, without any judgment of right or wrong, good or bad, nice or not nice - it is art and writing anyone can do.

Many of Elizabeth's stress management programs incorporate art and writing into more traditional stress reduction modalities such as meditation and breath-work.

Elizabeth believes that personal transformation begins with intention. All of her lectures, programs and workshops focus on the integration of body, mind and spirit and helping each individual person recognize that they possess inner wisdom and the inner resources to heal.
